This digital workshop/networking day allows remote/distance students who are living in the region of Jämtland/Härjedalen in northern Sweden to network & exchange ideas and strengthen synergies.
DUMMY EVENT/TEST PHASE. As mentioned in the road map, a local challenge identified by all members of quadraple helix of associated partners are the competence supply/talent attraction in the regions where Mid Sweden University is located.
This digital workshop/networking day allows distance students who are living in the region of Jämtland/Härjedalen in northern Sweden to network & exchange ideas and strengthen synergies between higher education, local businesses, and public services. The workshop will: Explore ways to better support remote students and enhance their opportunities to engage locally. To contribute to regional development by building more inclusive and connected educational pathways. To showcase the opportunities of living, studying and finding employment in the region of Jämtland/Härjedalen in northern Sweden, including for foreign students in the ChallengEU alliance. To promote the Remote Campus idea (in progress) as an Third Space for distance learners to combine educational, cultural, entrepreneurial, and social activities to foster a vibrant student community where there exists co-working spaces, quiet study zones, tutoring and technical infrastructures.
In the future the goal is to strenghten linkages to the local labour market by developing structured matchmaking systems between students and employers through M.A.R.K.E.T initiatives/activities such as hackathons, job fairs day etc.
