About Us

We strive to actively drive change in our surroundings. By integrating global and regional challenges into our curricula and engaging with local communities, we are ready to work alongside our partners to solve today’s pressing issues.

ChallengeEU Alliance is introducing a new regional innovation approach that goes beyond a traditional one-way transfer of knowledge towards a more collaborative and interactive methodology.

In this model, universities address and invite all elements of the Quadruple Helix, actively engaging with regional stakeholders, including those from the public administration, the business sector, and civil society. To move beyond existing models of one-dimensional knowledge transfer, ChallengeEU Alliance is putting in place a new concept for research and knowledge exchange: Multi-Actor Research and Knowledge Exchange Teams, or “M.A.R.K.E.T.”.

In each of the three selected Smart Specialisation Areas i.e., Health and Well-beingSmart Digitalization, and Sustainable Futures, challenge-and-impact-driven M.A.R.K.E.T.s will act as dynamic platforms for transdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and the co-creation of solutions that span digital, green, social, and sustainable dimensions. These M.A.R.K.E.T.s will serve as hubs where students, researchers and diverse stakeholders can collectively tackle challenges, share expertise, and contribute to transformative advancements in their respective domains.
